What does "Rooming List Pending" mean?
If you're seeing the words "Rooming List Pending" on a booking in your system, or see the message in the second image below when processing a change request, this is because the record was pulled on a rooming list and has been placed on hold until confirmed with a confirmation number.
When reservations are included on a rooming list, the system places them on hold until confirmation numbers are uploaded so that the reservation's details don't change after the hotel adds them to their PMS. This way, once the hotel has a copy of a booking and uploads it to their PMS, there's no chance a discrepancy can arise where the hotel suddenly has incorrect information.
If a change request is submitted after the hotel pulls the list and before the confirmations are uploaded, the change request simply becomes a pending request that the hotel must then process to update the information in their system.
