Disabling an event hotel after your event has gone live has various effects in your event.
Front-end Booking Process
When an event hotel is disabled, it will no longer be displayed on the front-end at any time. Though event hotels toggled as not accepting bookings may still show up as "Unavailable", disabled hotels will be taken off completely.
Back-end Reservation Screen
When an event hotel is disabled, it may still be used for reservations booked in the back-end, as long as there is available inventory.
Note: When trying to prevent attendees from booking at certain properties on the front-end, it's best to leave the hotel as enabled and simply toggle the "Accepting Bookings" button in the event hotel profile. This accomplishes the same thing, but doesn't affect other areas of your event.
Reservations in "New" Status
When a reservation is booked in "New" status prior to the event hotel being disabled, change requests can still be submitted, but date and room-type changes are no longer possible. Guests can still update guest names, special requests, and payment information as per normal. These reservations can still be accepted and assigned confirmation numbers.
Reservations in "Accepted" Status
Reservations in "Accepted" status after an event hotel is disabled can also still submit change requests, and can also still make date changes. Only room-type changes will be unable to be submitted.
Reports and Rooming Lists
When an event hotel is disabled, it can still be used to run reports and download rooming lists at any time.
