How do Change Requests work before and after cut-off?
New Reservations:
- Before cut-off: system checks inventory, and change request goes through immediately
- After cut-off: system doesn't check inventory, change request goes through for hotel processing
Accepted Reservations:
- Before cut-off: system checks inventory, change request goes through immediately and hotel is notified
- After cut-off: system doesn't check inventory, change request goes through for hotel processing
Furthermore:
- Attendees are not able to submit change requests if there is a pending cancellation request for their reservation. The change request form will not display should the attendee return to the change request page; however they will see that a cancellation request is pending (with a time stamp of when it was submitted).
- The system will now automatically process pending change requests, without sending an email to the attendee, if a cancellation is submitted to the same room reservation. This will eliminate confusion for the hotelier who would often try to handle the change request after the room was cancelled. All activity for the reservation will be logged in the reservation history for your reference.
