How to Get and Install “Loom”, a tool to easily record and share small videos with your Meetingmax Support team.

Installing Chrome Extension in Windows

1.       Click on this link https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions

2.       Chrome Extensions page will be displayed as follows

                  

3.       In the “Search Extensions” bar, type “Loom” and hit Enter

                  

4.       Results will be displayed, from the list click on the first result

                  

5.       Following screen will be displayed

                  

6.       Click on the “Add to Chrome” button in the top right corner

                  

7.       Following pop-up will be displayed, click on “Add Extension” button

                  

8.       Extension will be installed and the following home page will show you how to use the recorder

                  

9.       To start recording, click on the Puzzle icon located in the top right corner in Chrome Browser and select Loom

                  

10.   Pop up will  be displayed, Give or Deny microphone and camera recording with one click or skip for now

                  

11.   Select the settings that better suit you and Start Recording, remember you can record video from your camera (video bubble will be displayed in the lower left corner), audio, or no audio and no video and just record the screen.

                  

12.   If you have more than one screen, next pop-up will be displayed, choose which screen, window or Tab would you like to record and click Share button.

                  

13.   Recording will start, you can Stop, Restart, Pause or Delete Recording and see elapsed time in the lower left corner.

                  

14.   Once your recording is completed, click Stop or Stop Sharing button and the following screen will be displayed, your video is already copied to the clipboard, so you can share the link instantly.

Taking Screenshots/Screen Video on Mac

Method 1: Cmd-Shift-3

This keyboard shortcut captures a screenshot of your entire screen. A thumbnail will be displayed in the bottom right corner, you can click on it to edit or just wait for it to disappear, screenshot will be saved in the desktop.

Method 2: Cmd-Shift-4

Use this keyboard combination to turn your cursor into a crosshair, which you can drag to select a portion of your screen to capture. Release the mouse button or trackpad to take the shot. A thumbnail will be displayed in the bottom right corner, you can click on it to edit or just wait for it to disappear, screenshot will be saved in the desktop.

Method 3: Record screen video using QuickTime

1.       Open QuickTime and click on the File Menu > New Screen Recording

                  

2.       System will display an area to be recorder, you can adjust and click the Record button

                  

3.       To stop recording click stop on the screen/Touch Bar, File will open to replay.
