How do I preview my Event?

Preview Mode offers you a way to configure your event the way you want and walk through the entire process as if you were a guest, without having to worry about replacing inventory or charging a credit card.

To enable Preview Mode, select "Preview" from the Event Status drop down on the Basics tab of your Event:

While Preview Mode is enabled, any reservation that is created within the system will be created with a Temporary status. Temporary status reservations will be automatically removed from the system 15 minutes after they are made.
Once set to Preview Mode, you can visit the Front End Reservation Page and walk through the processes as if the event were live. You will note the "Preview" banner in the top left-hand corner of your screen.

While in Preview Mode, you can also use all the other Meetingmax features such as Rooming List, Back-end Reservation, and Clone Reservations. Reservations cannot be edited or changed while Preview Mode is enabled. Inventory will continue adjust accordingly in your Inventory tab and Summary pages while reservations are in Temporary status. Inventory will be returned once the reservation is removed from the system.

Acknowledgement emails will be sent out in accordance with your Email Suppression settings, however the link to make a change request will be disabled. If you are trying to test or preview the change request process, you can do so by keeping your event in Disabled status, making a reservation in the back-end, and previewing through the emails that are sent. No emails will be sent to the hotels (if configured to do so) when using Preview Mode.

No payment gateway charges will occur while Preview Mode is enabled. This means that, whether creating a booking via the Front End Reservation Page or through the Back-end Reservation Page, the credit card provided will not be charged and you will not see any attempts made on your payment gateway (if enabled).
