How can I view the pickup for my event?

You can view an event's pickup - the amount of rooms booked out of the rooms contracted in each block - from the "Summary" tab in the MCP! This tab allows you to see at an event level how many rooms have been booked for each hotel, for each sub-block, and even for each room type.

Start by going to the "Summary" tab in the MCP, where you will arrive at a screen that looks like the screenshot below. From here, go ahead and select the event you would like to view the pickup for.

The page will load for a moment, and then populate to a fully interactive screen shown below!

From here, there are a number of things you can do. In the drop-downs at the top, you can choose a specific event hotel as well as a specific sub-block, to see the pickup for just those rooms.

In the drop-down with "Show Available" written in it, you can switch up the view with the following options:

  1. "Show Publicly Available" - shows you how many rooms are bookable, including oversell capacities and held rooms
  2. "Show Main Available" - simply shows you the number of blocked rooms, minus the number of booked rooms; doesn't include oversell or held room data
  3. "Show Booked" - changes the numbers to fractions, showing you what the out of the allocated inventory has been booked
  4. "Show Hold Rooms"
  5. "Show Over Booked"
  6. "Show Wait-list"
  7. "Show Originally Contracted"
  8. "Show Actualized Pick-up"
  9. "Compare Simpleview to MMX"

One drop-down over to the right, you can add filters to the list to show hotels that are either accepting reservations or not accepting reservations.

To the right again, you can export the list, as-is, to either an Excel spreadsheet or into an email.

You can click "Show Rates" to display the rates for each hotel and room type, and to the right of that, you can choose to expand the list by hotels and also by room.

Finally, you can choose to show the room rate by occupancy (Single to Quadruple), and you can sort the list alphabetically or by distance from the event venue.
