How can I set up Sub-block Requests?

With the new Sub-Block Request feature, groups can now request a sub-block through the Front End without requiring the use of a separate form!

To get started, in your Event under "The Basics" tab, you will now see a "Sub-block Request" section.

Under "Sub-block Request" you can customize how many preferences a group can request - the maximum number of rooms added to each request as well as questions that are important to the group. Once enabled, a link will be generated for you to send out to groups or to paste in your Start Message of your event.

Once a request is submitted, a red notification dot will appear on "Sub-Block Request" in the left-hand navigation.

To view the request, click on "Sub-Block Request",  a pop-up will appear indicating which Event and how many new requests there are for that Event and the option to view the event.

Once the event is selected, you will be directed to the updated Event Sub-block page. The updated Event Sub-block page will now show you your "Active Sub-blocks" as well as "Requested Sub-blocks" and "Declined Sub-blocks".

To review, you can either click on the request or use the Action dropdown. Once a request is selected, you will be directed to a page where the Sub-block Name, Group Code and Owner information will be pre-filled. Head to the Inventory tab where you can review the requested inventory and the preferences of the group. Click on "Check Public Availability" to view the Inventory page of the room type.

Click "Accept Request" once you are ready to create the sub-block and add the inventory. To add inventory, head back to the Inventory tab, where "Check Public Availablity" is now "Manage Inventory". The process moving forward is the same as what you would do when creating inventory for a sub-block except that the inventory request is also pre-populated for you to confirm.
