How can I reset a reservation back to New status?

After a reservation has been accepted with a confirmation number, it can be returned back to its original New status at any time. This can be accomplished on the Reservation Details screen. From the Reservation Actions drop down, select Reset Reservation To New.




A pop up message will appear asking you to confirm that you want to reset the reservation to new. Click Reset Reservation To New.



The page will refresh and your reservation will be returned to its original new status! One thing to note at this point is that each room's confirmation number will not be automatically deleted once the reset is complete. There aren't really any repercussions here with this; you can either retain the confirmation numbers for later reuse when the bookings are accepted again, or delete them and have new ones take their places. 

Once the reservation has been reset, the option to cancel the whole booking will become available in the Reservation Actions drop down menu. When cancelling a booking this way, only the contact will receive the cancellation email; guests will not be notified unless you manually send them the email from each of the Room Actions menus.
