How can I control whether confirmation numbers are sent after confirmation number imports?
That is an excellent question.
In your event's profile under the first tab labelled The Basics, there is a heading labelled Hotel User Settings. It's under this heading that you can control whether confirmation emails send when confirmation numbers are imported by your hotel partners. You can specify whether the reservation's contact or its guests receive their confirmation email. Both options will always default to send when an event is first built.
This functionality here means that hotel users in the HCP will no longer have the option of disabling confirmation emails when they upload their confirmation numbers into your system. We've seen that on some occasions, hoteliers would in fact turn off the confirmation emails and MCP users would then have to re-send them through the
bulk reservation change tool. Now, you'll have more control over these emails and ensure attendees receive their confirmation numbers as desired.
