How can I clone an event?
When building a new event in your system, you have the option of cloning a previously made event to save yourself some time! This is especially helpful if you're building an event that takes place annually, for which last year's event already exists in your system.
Here's how to do it. Start by going into the profile of the event you want to clone. Remember, if you have archived the event you want to clone, you'll first have to restore it temporarily. Once you're in the profile, click the "Event Actions" drop-down menu, and click "Clone Event".
On the following screen, you'll specify which components of the event profile you want to have carry over. You can specify the following:
- Event Name
- Event Dates, including cut-off
- Event Hotels, where you can customize the various properties you want
- Sub-blocks, can also be customized
- Branding Images
The screen also includes a section at the bottom to indicate which components cannot be copied.
That's all there is to it! Your previous event's event settings, additional information labels, communication messaging, email messaging, etc are now copied over into your new event profile, saving you precious time re-configuring settings that were already configured!
