How can I create a Sub-Block? (Video)

To create a sub-block, click the "Add Sub-Block" button at the top of the event page.

Then, fill in the necessary fields. Note that the fields that require text are denoted with an asterisk. Below is a description of each detail.

Sub-Block Name: Provides a name that easily describes the group expected to use it. This is how the sub-block will be listed in the MCP.

Group Code: A unique code assigned to a sub-block for attendees to access the block's unique front-end. The group code can be used to access the sub-block's front-end in two ways:

1) the system will use the group code to generate a sub-block-specific front-end URL, which can be circulated to attendees to use, and;

2) can be entered on the main booking URL, at the landing page where the group code box is displayed.

Sub-Block Group: This field is used to put multiple sub-blocks into one group on the Summary page.

Hide Sub-block Name: Use this drop-down to decide if the sub-block's name will be displayed on the Front-End or not. More information here.

Comp Block: Flags block as a comp block, so that rooms booked here do not count toward earned comp rooms.

Hide Rates: Hides the rates for the hotel displayed to your guests during their reservation process. Handy if you don't need the guests to see how much a room costs if they, specifically, aren't the ones paying.

Owner First and Last Names: Used to track the groups main contact information.

Owner Email: Used to track the groups main contact information.

Internal Notes: This field is used for any information that will be used internally and won't be visible on the public site.
