Accessing Full Credit Card Details in Hotel Control Panel (HCP)
Hotel users with credit card access in the Hotel Control Panel (HCP) can securely view full credit card details for reservations. To access this information, users need to select the [Click to Reveal] button on the Reservation Detail page. This button acts as an additional layer of security, requiring users to enter their HCP password before revealing the complete credit card number.
When generating any report that contains full credit card information, you will be prompted to create a password. This password will then be used to encrypt and password protect the report you are downloading within a .zip file. When opening the report, you will be prompted to enter the password you just created.
Note: this only applies to the Hotel Control Panel, and only for users with access to view full credit card information. Credit Card information cannot be acquired from the MCP.
Passwords must contain 8 characters in length and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. Please note that this password is not stored anywhere, and cannot be retrieved if lost. If you lose the password you will have to re-generate the report with a new password.
